Many of our health system clients previously had direct-bill agreements in place with one or more van line carriers. Physicians were directed to obtain estimates from these carriers and submit them for approval. Upon completion of the move, the selected van line would invoice the health system directly for the move. While the systems want to maintain this type of benefit administration, they realize that this creates challenges for their new employees. Physicians are dealing with multiple walk-through surveys and are coordinating most of the relocation logistics on their own.

Red Oak relocation has direct-bill agreements with more than a dozen national van lines and can obtain multiple estimates on every move. Our process starts with identifying which of our van line partners has a terminal close to the physician’s point of origin and request a survey. Once the survey and estimate are complete, we can either proceed with that carrier or pull the primary information from the survey and use it obtain additional estimates from other carriers in the area.
Why Multiple Van Line Partners
Our experience has taught us that van lines are often stronger in certain regions of the country. A move coming out of Dallas, TX may be better served by a specific van line. That same carrier may not be the best option for a move coming out of Seattle, WA.
